Our research introduced us to the Younker family. Our ancestor William Pancake had three children. The oldest, a daughter named Jane Pancake Thompson, died following childbirth. She was the mother of two daughters including the daughter born upon her death. The daughter, Rachel Ann married Jason T. Younker. Rolland descends through Jane Pancake Thompson while we descend through Jane’s brother Samuel Crawford Pancake.
Rolland was born in 1891 in Colorado and died in 1952, also in Colorado. His wife Edith was born in 1893 in Nebraska and died in 1980 in Colorado. They married in 1913. They became the parents of four children. The oldest, Dorothy married Thomas Lazzeri. It was through the descendants of this line that we were able to share information about our connected families.
Rolland spent his life as a railroad engineer and died unexpectedly at the age of fifty-one. This photograph was provided by the descendants of Dorothy Younker Lazzeri.
