This keepsake photograph shows Everest  Elliott Watrous and his second wife Susan Irvine Shirtz.  Everest boarded in her home and later married her.  Everest’s children and grandchildren loved her and called her Grandma Susie.  Susie was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints who had been baptized in her native Scotland by then Elder David O. McKay.  Elder McKay later became President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.  This photograph was taken in Salt Lake City, Utah.
